Science Animation:  Cell Nucleus

This animation initially shows the interior of a cell, starting with a view of the endoplasmic reticulum and surrounding cell contents. Shown are: nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi bodies, lysosomes, mitochondria, ribosomes, proteins, microtubules, etc. In this animation, the nucleus is made transparent, to reveal nuclear proteins and chromatin. For visualization purposes, the proteins are illuminated, as are the DNA strands.
